Pixelfish

Founded in 2009 by two design graduates, Pixelfish is a small UK design studio built around low-carbon, sustainable web practices. Operating as a remote-first team with a satellite studio at Gather Round in Bristol, staff are based around the south west of England and further afield across the UK. The studio works with businesses and organisations that have a positive impact on people and the planet, partnering with clients from the UK and internationally who are looking for ethically minded branding and web design. Pixelfish's declared work covers storytelling, branding, design, development and motion, delivered through a partnership approach that starts with understanding a client's "why and how" before shaping words and visuals. Its core specialism is eco-friendly, low-carbon website design and build, using proactive methods intended to reduce carbon and energy consumption across the design, build and hosting stages of a project. Websites are built on WordPress, with the studio describing itself as focused on creating carbon-neutral sites for ethical businesses. Beyond initial design and development, the studio also takes on ongoing care of websites once launched.
