Podium Design is a one-person web design practice based in Brighton and Hove, run by Spencer, who works directly with clients from initial call through to launch and ongoing support. The practice serves small and medium-sized businesses across Brighton, Hove, Sussex and Surrey, with additional clients handled remotely over Zoom nationwide. Work has included one-page sites for sole traders as well as full ecommerce stores, with more than 100 WordPress websites built across Sussex to date. Core work centres on custom WordPress website design and development, including rebuilds and migrations from Wix, Shopify, Webflow and Squarespace. Ecommerce projects are built on WooCommerce or Shopify, covering checkout setup, inventory management and secure payments. Beyond web builds, services extend to search engine optimisation focused on local search and qualified traffic rather than broad keyword targeting, plus Pay Per Click, digital strategy and social media marketing. Branding and graphic design work spans logo design, brand identity and marketing materials, alongside packaging design and content marketing. Ongoing client relationships are supported through website hosting on UK-based servers with SSL, backups and uptime monitoring, and separate care plans covering updates, security monitoring and technical support. Quotes are given as fixed prices agreed upfront rather than billed hourly, and prospective clients can request a free mock-up or website audit before committing to a project.
