Walvis Technologies is an Ottawa-based technology consultancy founded in 2012, working with federal and public-sector organizations in Canada alongside enterprise clients such as General Dynamics Mission Systems. Its client list includes bodies like the Supreme Court of Canada, Canada Revenue Agency, Treasury Board Secretariat, Shared Services Canada, and several provincial governments, reflecting a practice built around security-cleared, in-house delivery for organizations with formal governance and compliance requirements. The team is small, operating with a hands-on, single-team structure across a defined set of practice areas. The agency's work is organized into four areas: AI and Copilot deployment (including Copilot Studio, Azure OpenAI, custom agents, RAG, and governance controls for regulated environments), cloud migration and implementation, enterprise content management (covering Microsoft SharePoint, IBM FileNet, and OpenText Content Server/GCdocs, including information architecture and retention), and consulting/advisory work aimed at optimizing existing systems before recommending new builds. Beyond these, Walvis offers full-stack development, web design, UX/UI design, mobile app development, Microsoft 365 and Power Platform work, IT staff augmentation, and search engine optimization on a project basis.
