Since 2012, simpleTechs GmbH has operated out of Berlin as a small team building and running software systems for other companies, working across streaming, backend infrastructure, mobile apps and, more recently, AI. Clients named on its site include ARD Plus, SOLIT AG, flexgold, Bookwire, Sony Music, Plaion Pictures, Leonine and Glossybox, spanning public broadcasting, precious-metal trading, publishing and media. In 2023 the company established a separate entity, smpl Services GmbH, to carry software developed through client work into standalone products, while simpleTechs GmbH continues to handle direct client platforms and systems. The declared service range covers search engine optimization, custom software development, mobile app development, marketing strategy, web development, and UX/UI design, delivered alongside backend engineering for content, user management, payments and delivery. Work has included building the platform behind Netzkino from initial concept through to its sale, moving SOLIT AG's precious-metal trading from paper-based processes onto a digital platform that grew into flexgold, and building the streaming platform that runs ARD Plus across TV, mobile and web. Development spans web, iOS, Android, smart TV and, most recently, in-car environments. On AI, the company describes a mixed approach: building task-completing agents where AI adds genuine value, keeping simpler processes as standard database operations, and integrating with existing systems such as Salesforce where clients already rely on them. Products developed from this client work include a streaming platform (SMPLVIDEO), a shared backend engine, and a personal AI product (SMPLYOU).
